Claude is great helping to code (as are a lot of “AI” tools), especially for debugging stuff, it can ingest a huge amount of info much faster than you and read a lot of manuals.
Working on something for OpenStreetMap UK (mod_tile / renderd) there were some bugs including a big issue with memory leaks. If you can point AI in the right direction / they’re very good at fixing things.
Once fixed everything should run smoothly but the default config was also configured badly and once again Claude pointed out the problem, changed a parameter and everything was hunky dory, and you had a hoopy frood.
Left the session with “thanks and so long for all the fish” and Claude went ”good night don't forget your towel” …
Getting scary.
